CSL and Wimax Samoa Complete Specialist Technical Training

Computer Services Limited (CSL), Samoa’s leading information technology company, and its subsidiary, Wimax Samoa Limited (WSL), today announced the successful completion of the Certified Alvarion System Specialist BreezeMAX Technical Training Course. Presented by Alvarion Technical Trainer, Mr Wang Bo from Beijing, the intensive 5-day course was attended by engineering and technical staff from CSL, Digicel and the Office of the Regulator.
According to CSL CEO, Laeimau Oketevi Tanuvasa-Savea, ‘one of the main objectives behind the course is to provide key staff with practical hands-on knowledge on Alvarion’s BreezeMAX system, its components, operation, installation, as well as the technologies involved’. With WSLs Wimax network utilising the technologically advanced BreezeMAX products, certified Samoan staff will be able to provide excellent network maintenance and support services. Laeimau added that ‘Samoa will soon join Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, the Cook Islands and many other countries where the innovative BreezeMAX has been successfully deployed’.
With the Wimax training now completed, Samoa is a step closer to seeing the rollout of a modern next generation internet service, consistent with developed countries like NZ and Australia. Wimax is set to revolutionise broadband Internet in Samoa and the Pacific.
